The following story is a true one and details some of the experiences of my Father.
My Father was a unique man in many ways, having been involved with the prohibition of liquor and the involvement with the whiskey running business, to being a Golden Gloves State Boxing Champion, to serving time in prison to being one of Jehovah's Witnesses and raising two sons and four step daughters in the truth.

The following seven short chapters are, either a recollection of some of the things I remember either personally or in conversation with him

Clarence Alfred Pouch III. Father was born on December 3, 1906 and passed away on April 11,
1987. He was, by all accounts, an adventuresome and rowdy young man whose thirst for
adventure led him down dark paths. To his credit and wisdom of maturity however, he
abandoned those darkened paths and came into the light as the years wore on. He was indeed a
man of many faces.
I have often wanted to write of some of the things that Father and I talked about, and of some of
the things I saw first hand, so I am writing the following short chapters, not only in his memory,
but for those thousands of people he touched through his bible teachings, to the hundreds who
knew him and called him friend, and to the children whom he loved so much.
In his time, Father was bigger than life........and twice as animated!
My brother Tony and I have recently discovered even more amazing things about our Father.
Secrets that have been kept for nearly 75 years. I am sure that we will continue to learn even
more as the days go on. You see, Father never once tried to be something he wasn’t, he just
would never let you know what that might have been.

I present you, Clarence A. Pouch, aka, “Doc.”
