There isn’t a man alive who really wants to be a husband.

I’m sorry ladies, but it’s true. No man ever woke up in the morning and said” I’m tired of making my own decisions. “

It’s not that wives aren’t good, it’s just that being a husband is bad.

For one thing, you are always defending your-self. “Why did you park there? I don’t understand why you would park there.”  “Why did you buy that kind of cheese? I don’t know why you bought that kind of cheese.” “Why didn’t you call me? I told you to call me. I don’t know why you didn’t call me.”

Why, why, why!!!

You can’t ask a question though. “Are you mad? Why are you mad? Every time I ask a question you get mad.”

When you become a husband, you are secretly giving up every right known to man. How you dress, how you bathe, how you speak, how you look at other women, other men, other animals, other anything! You lose the right to contradict, to recognize inequality, to make mistakes, to even decide where to park.

You are darned if you do and darned if you don’t, scorned if you will and harassed if you won’t. You are shunned, stunned and completely out-gunned.

And yet….we do it, we love it and can’t get enough of it, some of us marrying many times. I think that just about explains our mental genius and our addiction to the beauty that began in the Garden of Eden when God gave Adam the choice to live forever or stick by his sinful mate Eve. In choosing Eve, we became far worse than bad decision makers, we became a slave to a woman’s every attraction.
